Misha (born on February 8, 1900 in Portland, Oregon, USA) is one of the legends of mid-century American tattooing.
Beginnings
“After a tattooist did a very poor copy of one of my drawings on my boyfriend I decided that I could do better myself, so I searched for a mentor. In August of 1991 I found an artist to help me build my first machine and help me order supplies. After a few weeks I found a shop to work out of but still had no mentor. After two years of struggling with my tattooing, I began a formal apprenticeship under Miz Jo-d Bones at Ink For Life in Ypsilanti, Michigan and apprenticed there for two years. In June of 2003 I relocated to Los Angeles. ”
Inside the body of a blond haired (well some of the time blond) blue-eyed woman beats the heart of a 14-year-old Japanese girl with big eyes and her name is Misha.

Style
Misha’s art is a fusion of Japanese Anime, Hindu and Buddhist religious imagery and traditional tattoo design. Her favorite subjects to paint are mermaids, pin-ups, geishas, and monsters; preferable a mix of at least two of them at once. She likes the dichotomy of having a monster look cute and sweet.
