Kat Von D
Kat Von D (born as Katherine Von Drachenberg on March 8, 1982 in Monterrey, Mexico) is a Mexican tattoo artist and television personality.
Early on
Kat Von D started early on doing tattoo’s as a kid (around 14 years old). Not realizing that it could lead to something big she just did tattoo’s because it made her feel good and she enjoyed it. She did her first tattoo because somebody asked. The experience thrilled her. It was art, but it was so much more. Tattooing was like everything she had been working on in her notebooks since she was five. She loved tattoo’s.
Tattoo’s
On her own show LA Ink, Kat Von D set the Guiness World Record for most tattoo’s given by a single person in 24 hours, with a total of 400. Kat Von D has a book, “High Voltage Tattoo”, compiling her artworks and tattoos which was released in January 2009, the foreword by Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx. A small sampling of those tattooed by Von D include Guns N Roses, Eve and Mira Sorvino, Steve-O, Lady Gaga, Jared Leto, Bam Margera, Kerry King, Ryan Dunn and Rivaldo, among numerous others.
Business
On July 14, Miami Ink tattoo artist legend Kat Von D opened up her new rockin’ tattoo spot, High Voltage Tattoo, to the public. The LA based shop is also the focus of TLC’s new Miami Ink tattoo shop spin off series LA Ink, starring Kat Von D.

Kat Von D Bare
Career
One of the top needle artists in the tattoo world, Kat von D inks celebs and civilians alike in her own TV show, LA Ink (a spin-off from Miami Ink). She is one of the top female tattoo artists in the world, and in a fine example of female empowerment she likes to hire similarly talented female ink artists in her own tattoo parlour, High Voltage.
Kat Von D in Popular Culture
Kat Von D is no doubt now the face of the tattoo world to the mainstream market.
While tattooing is and will be popular with or without her, she is a key part of being a bridge between the subculture that makes up the tattoo world, and those who enjoy hanging out on the fringe of the lifestyle.

M ONE OF YO BIGGEST FAN KAT……..LOVE U MUMAAAAAAAA
I am a big fan of Kat’s. Not only do I love her LA Ink show on TLC whic is always full of fun and drama, but I also have her book which shows alot of her tattoos. And with a long waiting list for an appointment, this proves shes is one of the best. Her work definitely speaks for itself. Its evident that she’s enthusiastic about her art work. And her client list is impressive. Glad to know that a woman is at the top of her game in this normally male dominated field.
Love your show, I think you are the best tattoo artist around, but for goodness sakes stay away from that two timeing jack ass Jessie James, all he can do for you is bring you down in the eyes of your fans and could cost you the show. People will loose respect for you and your judgement and your work.
Kat your the best, but for goodness sakes stay away from that jackass Jessie James. He will bring you down in the eyes of your fans, people will loose respect for your work.
I’m going to be like you. Someday work at your shop:)
