“I left the military in 1995 with only a familiarity to tattooing, a basic start to collection and a disrespect to its application.
With discourage and patience, I was honored in 1996 with a four-year apprenticeship at “Tatts By Zapp” with Dave “Zapp” Zappia. I now spend half my time here and the other half at Anchors End, a shop in Duluth, Minnesota that I purchased through Dave.
In my eight years, I’ve worked with some truly great tattooers, most of these connections through Zapp and none greater than my connections to Keely Tackett (Keely Tackett’s Bio) . I know no other that deserves or respects this gift of tattooing more than she does. She has opened my hand and my heart. My ability to lay down eclectic styles reflects this and the fact I pay attention to everything shown, said, done, redone, or made familiar to me!
Thank you to those who know and those who donÂ’t know of their impact on me.”
