Beginnings
Erika was always interested in painting, art, design, illustration, and traveling. After various careers in photography, computer graphics and freelance graphic design, Erika found her niche in 1992 as a tattoo artist. After tattooing abroad in Australia and Europe, she returned to Los Angeles and founded Art & Soul Tattoo Co. in 1996.Although running a tattoo studio has taken much of her time over the past nine years, she still finds herself able to travel by doing “guest spots” at various tattoo studios in Denmark, Japan and on the East Coast. Her frequent and extensive travels have built her an international reputation. She has won awards and her work with tattoos, journalism and photography has been published internationally. Her journalism consists of covering tattoo studios and conventions around the globe.Her world-wide clientele always seem to itch for more artwork by her, causing her to take off frequently to fulfill her obligations to sling ink abroad.
