Cyco Mike of (Atlanta, Georgia, USA) grew up in Kentucky. Boredom led to his greatness of Tattooing.
Beginnings
Mike was born in Atlanta and grew up in the good ol’ Kentucky. In school there I was subject to boredom and art as my main focus to keep from being bored. Drawing on tests and selling artwork to fellow classmates almost like selling flash for peoples walls or amusement. I’ve been drawing painting and numerous other outlets since I was around 4 or 5 when my brother sat me down with the intent of making me an artist. He succeeded.
From Kentucky I moved to Pittsburgh January 1st of 2000 went to a tech school hoping to get something out of it. Well, needless to say, I didn’t. Teaching me things I learned in middle school so while working at Toys R Us as a bike builder I met the guys at Angry Moon tattoo in the south side of Pittsburgh.
Career
I started my apprenticeship in October of 2000 and went through what most people call an initiation for tattooing. No paddles thank god. Around 9 and a half years with the Moon and owner Cliff Maynard “whom apprenticed me” learning and finding my niche. Now with world famous Island Ave. tattoo shop.

Honors
As of November of 2009 I moved into world famous Island Ave. Tattoo with the, oh so, appreciated Jim Allchin and Coco, his wife and partner. Since then it has been bliss to be encouraged, to expand and conquer the art realm.
