How To Become a Tattoo Artist

How To Become a Tattoo Artist and then get your own reality TV show on TLC?

Hold on, that would take alot of work. Let’s back up to the beginning.

First, we suggest The Ultimate Tattoo Bible 2nd Edition. Instead of going straight to tattoo tips and tattoo tricks we believe you really need to wrap your head around the tattoo industry. The book can be found all over the internet. Amazon on other places. It is full of basic “tattoo starter” information. Everyone wants the fast lane to everything and we understand that. But when you are tattooing it is no longer the 1970’s where people just inked other people. There is the Alliance of Professional Tattooists.

Know your tattoo industry. Be prepared at all times to go out into the tattoo world. It is very competitive and their are some great tattoo artists that are out there for a long time. Its a tattoo marathon not a sprint. Great tattoo artists that have paid their dues and are now reaping the benefits are: Ami James, Kat Von D, Megan Massacre, Mr. Cartoon and many more.

Be sure to get a tattoo aprenticeship. Have a good tattoo portfolio. If someone is going to take you under their wing you should give yourself the best chance possible to work with the best. It is not always a free aprenticeship. Lets face it, tattoos are in. Some tattoo shops and artists require payment for the tattoo apprenticeship. If its what you truly love then it is well worth the money especially if you get a chance to work with the best.

Like any other business, the tattoo business is no exception. It is not enough to be just a great artist, a tattoo artist. You should know at the very least about running a business if you are to open a tattoo shop. Pay the bills first and if you have a good business then you are off and running.

Deciding on Where You Want Your Tattoo

The location of your tattoo is just as important as the design you choose. There are also a number of tattoos specifically made for certain parts of the body as well as finding one that fits you isn’t too difficult either.

The first and main step in deciding to get a tattoo is making sure that it’s definitely something you want to do. Not just a whim or because everyone else is doing it.

The second step is deciding on your design and where you want it and its size. Making sure that the design you choose is the right size for where you want to put it is very important.

Another important factor is whether you want it to always be visible or not. It’s important that you factor in whether it would be a problem at your workplace as well.

Whatever you decide, be sure and think it over carefully because once the tattoo is there, there are no do-overs!

Megan Fox Tattoo – Poetic or just for show?

Megan Fox Tattoo What is all the buzz about with the Transformers star tattoo?

Celebrity Tattoos.

It could be said that Hollywood and Sports has helped the trend of tattooing. Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp then you have A.J. Burnett and Jason Giambi. In basketball most if not all are tattooed. Allen Iverson, Shaq, etc.

I have to say that it is amazing to read all the comments that claim her wordy tattoo is ugly. Its usually not knowing or understanding the significance to Megan.

Mustang Body Ink

Ford Mustang lovers usually express their love for cars by purchasing new rims or a ground effects package. But not Daniel Verlarde, a longtime Mustang fanatic who decided to express his love by getting a new custom Mustang logo tattooed on his body.

The car graphics were designed to match the ink on his skin. Verlarde’s experience was made possible by participating in “The ‘10 Unleashed” program, which encourages consumers to submit entries describing their ultimate Mustang dream experience in 250 words or less. Videos chronicling Verlarde’s customization journey unleashing his Mustang side are featured starting today at www.The2010Mustang.com.

“I wanted a tattoo artist to design a 2010 Mustang tattoo and I wanted the creation to be brought to life with the customization of an actual 2010 Mustang,” said Verlarde. “This way, I could be a part of the car and the car would always be a part of me. My dream came true.”

Verlarde’s 2010 Mustang tattoo was created by famed artist Adam Forman at High Voltage Tattoo in Hollywood. His real-life customized 2010 Ford Mustang features paint from Luis Lopez, an artist who has more than 10 years experience in custom paintwork. Additional modifications on the vehicle include a new set of 20-inch wheels, a hood scoop, side scoops, side window louvers, rear deck fascia and an FR3 Handling Pack for a lowered stance.

Like Verlarde, enthusiasts’ love for customization can be fulfilled by creating their very own one-of-a-kind Mustang on the www.The2010Mustang.com site. The Mustang Customizer is a tool for consumers to dream up their ultimate Mustang by creating, modifying and customizing their own vehicle. The site also includes a gallery where one can judge the custom Mustangs others have submitted.

Verlarde’s experience is among several other dream Mustang experiences Ford is bringing to life with “The ‘10 Unleashed.” Famous drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. slid sideways around Japan; consumer Roger Keeney drove blindly; and 18-year-old consumer Derek Murrell drag raced his high school shop teacher. Verlarde’s experience and each of the other incredible chapters can be viewed on The2010Mustang.com.

Tattoo Artists Bio’s

Hi,

We, at TattooBio’s, have created a wiki for Tattoo Artists around the world. We are always updating our Tattoo Artist’s Bio’s. We want to get all the relevant information pertaining to each tattoo artist. We are adding them manually so as not to just scrape the internet and put up the same hum drum content over and over. Our plan is to list all the tattoo artists and eventually have them contact us for additions and updates to their very own Bio’s.
