Bob Shaw (June 22, 1926-1993) was one of the true pioneers of tattooing in the USA.
In 1970 Bert Grimm sold his shop called “Bert Grimm’s World Famous Tattoo”in Long Beach to his nephew Bob Shaw they sold the shop in 2004. He was trained by his famous uncle and later he trained his now famous son Larry Shaw.

At the hands of maybe the greatest tattoo artist ever a very young Bob Shaw learned what would be his families legacy tattooing. Second in what will be a long line of famous tattoo artist. He was one of the true pioneers of tattooing in the USA.
Bob was also the President of the Worlds Largest Tattoo Association – National Tattoo Association. He was the 3rd inductee into the Tattoo Hall of Fame – which was called the Golden Age Award – honoring those tattooing for 50 yrs – which was later changed to the Bob Shaw award.
