Albie Rock (Albert) (born on January 7, 1976 in Hamden Ct. USA) Being a Vegan since 1997 the only flesh he loves to cut into is Human.
Beginnings
He has managed to remain humble about his profession and talent. He fell into tattooing after dropping out of college. He was running a chain of ice cream shops in Connecticut, not fun for a vegan. He was getting tattooed at a shop called Darkside, by a guy named Lou Jacque when he was asked if he would ever considered trying to tattoo because of that great work he was bring in. “I told him I’d give it a shot, and he started giving me assignments, unofficial style, to see if I would take it seriously”. He started his apprentiship in July, He did his first tattoo ever on October 15th 1999, on his friend Mitch. He started tattooing the public in November. “Eric Merrill of Hope Gallery sat in with me on my first tattoo. I was totally not even paying my dues at all. Something I can’t stress enough as a bad thing. Needless to say, I ruined that whole experience, and it took years to repair a lot of burn’t bridges.” He also gives a lot of credit to Brandon Bond and the good people at All or Nothing in Marietta, Ga. which he affectionately refers to as the Tag Team Coalition for Global Domination. “The vibe here; the mentality is beyond what’s happening pretty much anywhere else. It’s no fevered egos, no star of the show. Just a bunch of dudes making bangin’ art all day, every day.”
Besides the tattoo community he describes his biggest influence: “I want a giant head from Peter Schumann’s puppet theater. That’s the nastiest, most bestest thing in the whole wide world! His work is pretty much the single most important influence on my entire philosophy.”

Style
“I will always like the clever side of tattooing, and unusual caricatured images. That’s what I’m best at; stuff that is without reference, my version of existing objects done in a way that makes it the boiled-down essence of what it is. Without a photo reference to use, usually I have to think in my head what is the most recognizable aspect of whatever it is I’m doing, and exaggerate it so that it reads that way. I like to do that stuff, but I really enjoy executing that in a more real-world dynamic. Realistic approaches to the same unrealistic, fantastic creatures.”

Who would have thought a vegan could be such a great tattoo artist? its refreshing to know Albie cares so much about animals.
Albie seems like an amazing artists and I like the way he speaks about All or Nothing Tattoo and his coworkers. No competition and no egos definitely makes for a more relaxed work atmosphere.
